Who We Are Lowestoft International Support Group was set up in July 2003 in response to the increase in international residents in Lowestoft. We are a support and self-help organisation. Our members and committee are made up of people from many different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. LISG is an independent non-party political organisation. We are run by volunteers and recently have been able to employ some paid staff, which has enabled us to develop our work at the drop in and in the community.

Report We have recently written and published a report about Waveney’s migrant and international residents: 'The New Communities in Waveney: A profile from Lowestoft International Support Group'.  In the report we talk about how our populations have changed over recent years, and also many of the issues that people who come to live here face.

We run a regular drop-in service three days a week, where we offer practical support, signposting and advice to Lowestoft’s International Communities.
